On August 26, the Trade Union of Duc Linh commune (Lam Dong province) said that the unit had just organized the handover of the Great Solidarity house after supporting repairs for the family of Mr. Nguyen Van Hoc, residing in hamlet 12, Duc Linh commune.
The house was repaired with a total cost of 80 million VND. Of which, the Fund for the Poor supported 30 million VND; the commune trade union mobilized philanthropists to contribute 31 million VND; the family responded with 19 million VND.
According to the Duc Linh Commune Trade Union, the activity of supporting house repairs for poor households is a practical work, showing the spirit of responsibility of the trade union organization in participating in the implementation of social security tasks in the locality.
Each repaired roof not only helps a family have a safer place to live in the upcoming rainy and storm season but also contributes to spreading the spirit of mutual affection, mobilizing more social resources to care for the poor.
From specific actions, the trade union continues to affirm its role of companionship, sharing and responsibility to the community, contributing to building an increasingly better life.
