On May 19, the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation held a professional meeting of the 2026 Provincial Workers, Civil Servants and Laborers Sports Festival in the former Binh Thuan province area to review the organization, professional work and prepare conditions to serve the competition.
Information at the working session, Mr. Ho Cong Duong - Standing Vice Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation said that the sports festival is one of the key activities in response to Workers' Month 2026, towards celebrating the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress.

According to the plan, the sports festival will be held in 3 areas including the provincial center (old Da Lat), the western province (old Dak Nong) and the eastern province (old Binh Thuan).
In the old Binh Thuan area, the sports festival took place from May 22-24 with the participation of 16 delegations and nearly 400 athletes who are union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers from agencies, units, and businesses in the area.
The opening ceremony is expected to be held on May 23rd, closing and awards ceremony on May 24th.
The competition contents include 5-a-side men's football, which is a compulsory sport with 25 participating teams. In addition, there are also men's and women's cable jumping and men's and women's sack jumping, each content has 16 teams competing.

At the professional meeting, representatives of the athlete delegations and the refereeing force discussed many contents related to the competition regulations, the draw and the arrangement of the competition schedule to ensure that the sports festival takes place smoothly and on schedule.
Previously, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province had requested the Provincial Sports Training and Competition Center to support the refereeing force, professional work and facilities to serve the sports festival.
The organizing committee said that the athletes participating must be union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers working in agencies, units, and enterprises with grassroots trade unions directly under the Lam Dong Provincial Trade Union.

To make the sports festival lively and effective, the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation requests commune, ward, special zone trade unions and grassroots trade unions to proactively coordinate with agencies and businesses to create conditions for union members and workers to participate fully.
According to the Organizing Committee, the sports festival not only creates a healthy sports playground but also contributes to strengthening exchanges, solidarity, and exchange of experiences in labor and production between union members and workers in the province.
