On the afternoon of August 26, at Suoi Dau Industrial Park (Cam Lam commune), the Khanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation organized a conference to sign a collective labor agreement between the Trade Union organization and 10 seafood processing enterprises.
10 participating enterprises signed include Nha Trang Bay Joint Stock Company, Mariso Vietnam Co., Ltd., Vietnam Tuna Co., Ltd., Golden Waves Seafood Co., Ltd., Hai Vuong Co., Ltd., Hai Long Nha Trang Seafood Co., Ltd., Tam Nhu Seafood Co., Ltd., Tin Thinh Co., Ltd., Gallant Ocean Vietnam Joint Stock Company and Fujiura Nha Trang Co., Ltd.
The collective labor agreement signed includes 3 chapters, 16 articles, stipulating many contents that are more beneficial to workers. In which, the minimum wage that enterprises pay to untrained workers must be at least 3% higher than the regional minimum wage prescribed by the Government.
Employees during the probation period are entitled to at least 90% of the salary of the job. Those who excellently complete their tasks are rewarded at least 100,000 VND/person/month, 200,000 VND/person/quarter and 500,000 VND/person/year.
The agreement also expands some separate leave regimes with full salary. Employees are entitled to 1 day off when grandparents or siblings die; parents or siblings get married.
Employers reward employees who have solutions, initiatives, and technical improvements that are applied and bring economic efficiency, or save production costs for businesses, the lowest bonus level is 1 million VND/person.
Notably, the safety and hygiene network is entitled to a responsibility allowance of at least 100,000 VND/person/month. Employers are responsible for purchasing accident insurance or personal insurance for all employees.
According to the agreement, the term of implementation of collective labor agreements is 3 years. The Provincial Labor Federation will supervise the implementation, and at the same time coordinate with businesses and grassroots trade unions to annually evaluate and supplement appropriate contents.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Bui Hoai Nam - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF), Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation - emphasized that the signing of collective labor agreements contributes to concretizing the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers.
According to Mr. Bui Hoai Nam, this is also a demonstration of the spirit of responsibility, goodwill and companionship between the Trade Union organization and employers. The parties need to seriously implement the committed contents, regularly inspect, evaluate and promptly remove arising difficulties and obstacles.
With the first occupational group agreement signed at Suoi Dau Industrial Park, the Provincial Labor Federation expects to increase benefits, towards building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations at enterprises in the Industrial Park.
On this occasion, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation presented support to 20 union members and workers in difficult circumstances, each worth 1 million VND; presented 50 gifts, each worth 1 million VND, to students who are children of workers in difficult circumstances.
