In the context of green development, emission reduction is becoming an increasingly clear requirement for production and investment activities, Lao Dong Newspaper organizes a seminar "Green industrial park development: Removing bottlenecks, welcoming new opportunities", to identify opportunities, challenges and propose solutions to promote the process of industrial park transformation towards green and sustainable.
The seminar was attended by Dr. Phan Duc Hieu - Standing Committee member at the National Assembly's Economic and Finance Committee, Mr. Le Anh Dung - Deputy General Director of Hanaka Group, Mr. Le Trung Dung - Business Director of Hung Yen Investment and Development Group Joint Stock Company (Hung Yen Group).
Developing industrial parks in a green, circular and high-tech direction is being concerned by many localities and businesses. However, the transition process still faces many bottlenecks related to institutions, capital sources, technical infrastructure, evaluation criteria, as well as coordination between management agencies and businesses.
At the seminar, guests will focus on discussing the requirements for transitioning from traditional industrial parks to green industrial parks, ecological industrial parks in the new phase. Among them, a noteworthy content is the change in the requirements of investors, especially FDI capital flows, for green infrastructure, clean energy, emission control and ESG criteria.
In addition, the seminar will delve into analyzing policy inadequacies and practical difficulties that businesses face when building new or converting existing industrial parks to green industrial parks.
In particular, guests will exchange views on proposals for preferential mechanisms and policies to create motivation for businesses to invest green; solutions to "green" industrial parks.
From a policy and business practice perspective, the seminar hopes to clarify the priorities for the green industrial park transformation process to take place substantively and effectively, thereby contributing to improving competitiveness, attracting high-quality investment capital flows and realizing Vietnam's green growth and sustainable development goals.
