On May 17, the Quang Binh Provincial Federation of Labor (LDLD) coordinated with specialized agencies to organize a training course on legal dissemination, health care and traffic safety for 150 union members and workers at Thang Long Urban Investment and Development Joint Stock Company - Quang Binh Branch.
The training program was held at the company's hall, with the participation of representatives of the Provincial Federation of Labor, the Economic Zone Trade Union, professional departments, business leaders, and lecturers from the Provincial Traffic Police Department, Provincial Social Insurance and the Department of Home Affairs.
The training course aims to raise workers' awareness of the Traffic Safety Law, social insurance policies, health insurance, as well as knowledge of occupational safety, hygiene and health care.
A lecturer from the Provincial Police disseminated traffic safety regulations. The representative of the provincial Social Insurance focuses on guiding on compulsory social insurance policies and workers' rights when participating in insurance.
In addition, the representative of the Department of Home Affairs also shared information about labor safety and workers' rights in a modern working environment. At the training session, many workers raised questions about the payment level, procedures for settling insurance regimes as well as how to prevent occupational diseases, which were specifically answered by the lecturer.
This is one of two training courses organized according to the plan of the Provincial Federation of Labor Standing Committee. The remaining class will be held at the Bo Trach District Labor Federation in the near future.
The class not only provides practical knowledge but also spreads the message of building a safe working environment, protecting the rights of workers, towards the sustainable development of businesses.
