The Union Members' Day program to celebrate the event "Reunited Hai Phong city and Hai Duong province - Expanding space for development and international integration" will take place from 7:00 a.m. on June 29 at the Square of the Vietnam-Viet Tien Friendship Labor Cultural Palace.
It is expected that about 2,000 union members and workers from Hai Phong City and Hai Duong Province will participate in the events. In which, the mid-hour physical performance "Hai Phong Workers - Hai Duong towards the new city" performed by 300 workers in industrial parks in Hai Phong; 1,250 athletes participated in the "Health - For the bright future of the city" Collective Run, starting from the Viet Tiep Friendship Labor Cultural Palace Square - Lach Tray Street - Joint track next to the City Martyrs Memorial - The Lake Road behind Viet Tiep Palace - The Road next to the Children's Palace - Ending at Viet Tiep Palace. After that, workers together arranged the image of "New Hai Phong City".
Also at the festival, the Labor Federation organized a football friendly tournament for men, women union members, and employees at 8:30 am at the Vietnam Maritime University Stadium. The Hai Phong City Labor Federation and the Hai Duong Provincial Labor Federation each sent 1 men's football team and 1 women's football team to participate in the friendly match.
The Youth Union Day was organized to propagate to a large number of cadres, union members, employees and people of the city about the merger of Hai Phong city and Hai Duong province, creating a high unity of ideas and actions among cadres, union members and people of the city to implement the arrangement of administrative units at all levels. Thereby, contributing to arousing pride and strengthening the trust of the people, especially union members and employees of the city in the Party, State and Vietnam Trade Union organization.
