The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has just issued a Plan to organize activities to support means of transport for union members and workers to return to their hometowns to celebrate Tet and return to work on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025.
Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Phan Van Anh said that the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor's support of vehicles to bring union members and workers back to their hometowns to celebrate Tet and return to work on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025 aims to concretize the Resolution of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Resolution No. 07/NQ-BCH dated August 29, 2024 of the Executive Committee of the General Confederation of Labor on "Focusing resources to care for the welfare of union members and workers in the new situation".
Create conditions for union members and employees to return to their hometowns to celebrate Tet and return to their units and businesses to work conveniently, quickly and safely.
Create a strong change in the awareness and actions of trade unions at all levels in innovating the content and form of care, orienting activities to support means of transport for union members and workers to return to their hometowns to celebrate Tet and return to work on the occasion of Lunar New Year to become an annual activity in the 2023 - 2028 term and spread the attention and support of businesses and society for union members and workers on the occasion of Lunar New Year.
Unions and employees are considered for support when they meet all criteria such as complying with the policies and laws of the Party and the State, the rules, regulations and provisions of the unit, enterprise and locality where they reside; actively participating in activities organized by the Trade Union; having difficult circumstances or having been awarded Certificates of Merit and awards from the Provincial and Municipal Labor Federations, Central Industry Trade Unions and equivalent, Trade Unions of Corporations directly under the General Confederation or higher, in the period of 2020 - 2024; not returning to their hometowns for Tet for many years; having the need to return to their hometowns to celebrate the Lunar New Year 2025 and committing to return to their units and enterprises to work after the Lunar New Year 2025 holiday ends...
Before the Lunar New Year, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor will organize the "Trade Union Flight - Spring 2025" - with 2 flights bringing about 400 union members and workers back to their hometowns to celebrate Tet in the provinces and cities in the Northern region. Representatives of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor will meet and wish union members and workers a Happy New Year before boarding the flight back to their hometowns at Tan Son Nhat Airport, Ho Chi Minh City. The time is from January 24 to 28, 2025, i.e. December 25 to 29 of the lunar calendar, 2024. Union members and workers will fly from Tan Son Nhat Airport, Ho Chi Minh City to Vinh Airport, Nghe An Province; Noi Bai Airport, Hanoi City.
Along with organizing the "Union Flight - Spring 2025", the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor also organized the "Union Train - Spring 2025". Accordingly, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor organized to bring about 2,000 union members and employees back to their hometowns to celebrate Tet in the provinces and cities in the Northern region (from Da Nang and above) and return to their units and businesses to work after Tet on the North-South trains and vice versa...
From South to North (before Lunar New Year): From January 22 - 28, 2025, i.e. December 23 - 29, 2024. From North to South (after Lunar New Year): From February 3 - 14, 2025, i.e. January 4 - 14, 2025...
