News bulletin "Job picture for students in Hanoi" built by Hanoi Employment Service Center based on survey data from more than 3,000 students in the third quarter of 2025.
From a practical survey, the Hanoi Employment Service Center clearly stated 3 key skills that students still have limitations and need to improve.
Strategic analysis and planning capabilities
Lack of market analysis ability with 39.17% of students vague about human resource trends, making it difficult to make the right decision without information.
Weak in career planning when 49.64% of students do not have a clear roadmap, lack long-term vision.
High-level thinking abilities are still "immature
Solving the problem: Up to 63.8% of students self-assess only from the average level or below.
Critical thinking: 67.56% of students are not confident; there is still a trend of accepting one-sided information.
74.32% of students self-assess as average or below, showing that students lack an environment to encourage new ideas.
Foreign languages for unsatisfactory work
44.57% of surveyed students self-assess work English as weak/very weak. This is a major barrier when wanting to work in an international environment.
In addition to the 3 key skills that are still weak, the Hanoi Employment Service Center recommends some attitudes that need to be improved.
Capacity to withstand pressure and manage emotions: Indirect/argumentative data: 10.77% of students have difficulty balancing study and extra work or are anxious when interviewed, showing that the ability to cope with pressure needs to be improved, showing that students lack experience in handling large volumes of work, urgent deadlines or negative feedback.
Discipline and perseverance in work: Converting from a relatively flexible learning environment to a highly disciplined working environment (hours, procedures) is a challenge; it is necessary to practice perseverance, pursue goals to the end, and not easily give up when encountering initial difficulties.
Professional communication and behavior style: Although basic communication skills are good, behavior in the office environment (email, meeting, reporting, listening...) needs to be standardized and more professional.
