On January 12, the Can Tho City Labor Federation organized a gift-giving ceremony from Party and State leaders to union members and workers in difficult circumstances on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025. Attending the program was Mr. Le Quang Manh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly's Finance and Budget Committee.
Speaking at the program, Chairwoman of Can Tho City Labor Federation Le Thi Suong Mai said that every year, on the occasion of Tet, all levels of the City Labor Union actively participate with heads of agencies, units, and enterprises to develop plans to pay salaries, bonuses, and other benefits for workers.
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, the Standing Committee of the City Labor Federation organized activities to visit, give gifts, and wish a happy New Year to workers in difficult circumstances, low income, those with serious illnesses, occupational diseases, and work-related accidents.
The Trade Union Tet Market Program (3rd year) has been continuously innovated, diversified and enriched, helping union members and employees have the opportunity to access goods with guaranteed quality and reasonable prices; the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Dang" 2025 presented 8,800 gifts to union members and employees, from the city's trade union financial resources; 2,700 gifts from Party, State and city leaders; 5,000 gifts of necessities; 2,570 online Tet market shopping vouchers... with a total amount of nearly 6 billion VND.
At the program, Mr. Le Quang Manh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly's Finance and Budget Committee - presented gifts to Can Tho General Printing Joint Stock Company - a typical enterprise that takes care of its employees.
In addition, 400 gifts were given to employees and workers in difficult circumstances. Of these, 100 gifts were worth 1.3 million VND/gift (1 million VND in cash, 300,000 VND in gifts) and 300 gifts were worth 800,000 VND/gift (500,000 VND in cash, 300,000 VND in gifts).
