According to Manpower Company, the report was conducted based on a survey of more than 13,918 workers in 19 countries to better understand workers' expectations and feelings about overall happiness, work satisfaction and professional confidence.
The employee satisfaction index reached 67% in 2026. The decrease compared to the previous year mainly came from the occupational confidence index. Meanwhile, the overall overall occupational happiness index and satisfaction index remained stable.
Regarding the Global Employee Satisfaction Index 2026, Manpower Company said that the Global Employee Satisfaction Index reflects the feelings of employees through three main indicators composed of 12 separate criteria, thereby clarifying the values that employees value most in the context of a rapidly changing job world.
In the context that 49% of surveyed workers said they regularly experience high levels of stress in work every day, the advantage will be for businesses to know how to take care of employees with specific policies to reduce workers' exhaustion.
The report also shows that although workers are attached to their current jobs, they are still looking for new opportunities with 60% of workers actively seeking other job opportunities. The solution proposed is that businesses strengthen discussions on meaningful career paths to understand the desire to develop careers and increase income of the workforce.
A welcome sign is that up to 44% of workers have completed training courses in the past 6 months. Manpower Company assesses that workers clearly understand that training is the key to restoring their self-confidence. Therefore, businesses can take advantage of the lack of AI skills to expand training and increase learning participation to have an advantage in improving productivity and increasing employee engagement.
