The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor directly signed over 90 cooperation agreements
In the period from 2019 - 2025, with the goal of finding, signing and implementing a unified, disseminated and synchronous union member welfare program throughout the system, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has directly signed over 90 cooperation agreements with large corporations and enterprises. In particular, in the fields of finance and consumer finance, based on assessing the needs of union members, the capacity of businesses, and the support of the State Bank of Vietnam, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor signed and implemented a cooperation agreement with HD SAISON, FE CREDIT, and Viet Phu Payment Service Support Joint Stock Company (Movi).
By the end of May 2025, with the support and coordination of trade unions at all levels, MOVI has reached and communicated to many grassroots trade unions in Hai Phong, Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, Vinh Phuc, Thanh Hoa, Hai Duong, Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Tay Ninh, Binh Phuoc, Long An, Dong Nai... thereby contributing to the effective prevention and control of "black credit". Total revenue is more than 10 billion 800 million VND with nearly 500 orders, serving more than 70,000 employees and union members in 29 provinces and cities across the country.
Signing on the principle of preferential discounts from 5-50%
The signing and implementation of cooperation agreements has attracted the attention of localities and units. According to the incomplete report of 40 provincial and municipal labor federations and 12 central industry unions and equivalent, 1,029 programs have been signed and implemented with more than 9.5 million union members and employees benefiting with a profit of more than VND427 billion.
The Labor Federations of provinces and cities, Central and equivalent trade unions are always proactive in finding partners, developing agreement and signing contents on the principle that enterprises have quality guaranteed products, goods and services, and preferential discounts from 5-50%. Cooperation activities focus on many models, typically the program "Each Trade Union, a benefit for union members", "Degraded sales week for workers", "Zero-dong market", "Union Tet market" are organized regularly and continuously on occasions such as Workers' Month, Lunar New Year or organizing direct sales at the Trade Union.
In addition, many provincial Labor Federations have mobilized support from business partners, allocating a portion of profits to actively participate in the joint activities of building 333 Trade Union Shelters with a total cost of more than 11.7 billion VND.
Discussing the actual implementation process, representatives of some city and provincial labor federations clearly stated the situation where workers and union members are afraid to declare personal information when opening credit cards according to the agreed program.
Workers are also worried about the situation of unexpected debts arising when they do not grasp the regulations on card use. Union officials suggested reviewing lending interest rates, simplifying loan procedures so that more union members and employees can access...
Speaking at the Conference summarizing cooperation agreements between the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and partners implementing the union member welfare program held on the morning of June 27, in Hanoi, Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Ha - Member of the Presidium, Head of the Department of Legal Policy - Labor Relations of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - emphasized that welfare work plays an increasingly important role in labor relations. In the new context, trade unions at all levels must further build programs and models to increasingly bring more and more welfare programs to union members and workers.
