Nearly 800 union members and employees working at enterprises and units under the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group participated in the program "Spring of oil and gas affection - Warm sharing Tet" organized by the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group and the Vietnam Oil and Gas Trade Union on the evening of January 4 in Ho Chi Minh City.
Speaking at the program, Ms. Nghiem Thuy Lan - President of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Trade Union - emphasized that in 2024, despite political fluctuations in many regions of the world and many difficulties, with efforts and solidarity, the collective of nearly 60,000 workers in the Vietnamese oil and gas industry has successfully completed their assigned tasks, making great contributions to the socio-economic development of the country.
The program "Spring of oil and gas love - Warm sharing Tet" is a good tradition of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Trade Union to take care of union members and workers in the industry.
The program also demonstrates the solidarity, cohesion, sharing and connection of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Trade Union so that all union members and workers in the industry can have a warm and happy Tet.
At the program, the Vietnam Oil and Gas Trade Union presented 4 billion VND to support units with many workers on duty during Tet at factories, construction sites, drilling rigs, ships, remote areas, and foreign projects to organize Tet for workers.
The Vietnam Oil and Gas Trade Union also presented 3 billion VND to representatives of some disadvantaged units to take care of Tet for union members and workers.
On the same evening, the District 1 Labor Federation, Ho Chi Minh City also organized the art program Celebrating Spring - Celebrating the Party in 2025, welcoming the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025), welcoming the Party Congresses at all levels and the program "Tet Sum Vay - Spring Solidarity", taking care of union members in difficult circumstances on the occasion of the Lunar New Year At Ty 2025.
At the program, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation presented 200 gifts (each worth 1.8 million VND, including 1.5 million VND in cash and gifts worth 300,000 VND) to union members' families in difficult circumstances who were unable to return home for Tet.
District 1 Labor Federation presented 500 gifts (each worth 1 million VND) to union members and workers in difficult circumstances working at E.Land Vietnam Co., Ltd. and 300 gifts of necessities (worth 200,000 VND/gift) mobilized by District 1 Labor Federation and sponsored and supported by units and businesses.
The total value of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation and District 1 Labor Federation taking care of union members and workers on this occasion is 920 million VND.
In total, the Vietnam Oil and Gas Trade Union, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, and the District 1 Labor Federation, Ho Chi Minh City presented money and gifts worth 7.92 billion VND to take care of the Lunar New Year 2025 for union members and workers.
