On the evening of September 22, the Ca Mau Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) coordinated with the Ca Mau Provincial Youth Union to organize the program "Mid-Autumn Festival Union Members - Spreading Love, Children's Smiles". The program was attended by 200 children who are children of union members, direct production workers of the grassroots trade union of Ca Mau Urban Environment Joint Stock Company; workers of grassroots trade unions of seafood companies under Tan Thanh Ward Trade Union, An Xuyen Ward Trade Union and Ly Van Lam Ward Trade Union.
Right from the beginning of the program, the Mid-Autumn atmosphere became bustling with giao luu activities, activities with Uncle Cuoi, Sister Hang; martial arts performances, lion and dragon dances and skits to learn about the legend of the Mid-Autumn Festival. The fun and close activities have created a cultural living space suitable for the age group, helping children have memorable experiences in the reunion moon season.
Speaking at the program, Mr. Ly Cong Bac - Chairman of the Ca Mau Provincial Labor Federation - emphasized that caring for union members and workers is not only about protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests but also towards the spiritual life, family and children of union members and workers. Through activities to care for children, the Trade Union organization wishes to contribute to helping union members and workers feel secure in their work and production, and at the same time create conditions for children of union members and workers to have a joyful, safe and complete Mid-Autumn Festival with love.
The Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation also sent wishes to children to always be diligent, study well, be healthy, know how to love, share and nurture beautiful dreams; and expressed respect for agencies, units, businesses, grassroots trade unions and sponsors who have accompanied and contributed to bringing a practical and meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival program for union members and workers' children.
At the program, the Ca Mau Provincial Labor Federation awarded 100 scholarships (each worth 500,000 VND) and 200 gifts including Mid-Autumn cakes, lanterns, milk... to children with excellent academic achievements and difficult circumstances who are children of union members belonging to the grassroots trade union of Ca Mau Urban Environment Joint Stock Company and grassroots trade unions of seafood companies in An Xuyen, Ly Van Lam, Tan Thanh wards... with a total amount of 125 million VND.
Each scholarship is not only material support but also a source of spiritual encouragement, encouraging children to continue to strive in their studies, overcome difficulties and strive to achieve better results. These gifts, although simple, contain the feelings and sharing of the Trade Union organization, the Youth Union and accompanying units for children.
Through the program, the Ca Mau Provincial Labor Federation continues to affirm its practical concern and care for union members, workers and union member families; and at the same time contribute to building a healthy cultural environment, creating conditions for union members and workers' children to play and develop comprehensively.
