On August 13, the Ca Mau Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) coordinated with the People's Committee of Dam Doi commune to organize the program "Raising children to school - Preserving national writing", at the closing ceremony of the Khmer summer literacy class in 2026. This is a practical activity, contributing to recognizing the learning results of children after participating in the Khmer summer literacy class; and creating conditions for children to continue to preserve and promote writing and national cultural identity.
Promoting the role of the Trade Union organization in caring for and accompanying union members, workers and the community, the Ca Mau Provincial Labor Federation has proactively mobilized agencies, units, and businesses to join hands to support ethnic minority students. Through mobilization, Ca Mau Lottery Company Limited; Ca Mau Petroleum Fertilizer Company; Sense City Ca Mau Trade Center; Binh Duong University Branch in Ca Mau; Branch of Yakult Vietnam Co., Ltd. in Ca Mau province, awarded a total of 1,500 notebooks; 34 scholarships (each worth 500,000 VND); 20 school supplies (each worth 1,225,000 VND) and 80 other gifts, totaling over 60 million VND.
Gifts and scholarships, although not of great material value, have profound spiritual significance, showing the concern, sharing and responsibility of the Trade Union organization and agencies, units, and businesses towards the young generation, especially children of ethnic minorities who are still facing difficulties. The activity also contributes to spreading the spirit of mutual affection, mobilizing social resources to take care of children, encouraging them to strive to study, continue to nurture dreams and strive to rise up in life.
The fact that the Provincial Labor Federation proactively coordinates with local authorities and mobilizes units to accompany shows the role of the Trade Union organization not only in directly caring for union members and workers but also actively participating in social security activities, caring for union members' families, workers and the community. Thereby, contributing to building an image of the Trade Union organization being close, responsible, accompanying union members, workers and people.
Through the program "Raising children to school - Preserving national writing", the Provincial Labor Federation wishes to continue to connect more social resources, create more conditions for ethnic minority students in difficult circumstances to be supported to go to school; and at the same time contribute to preserving and promoting traditional cultural values and building a positive and humane learning environment for the young generation.
