On August 17, at the Provincial Labor Culture House, the An Giang Provincial Labor Federation organized a Conference to commend typical union members and workers (NLĐ) in the "Good Labor, High Productivity, Good Income" movement in 2026.
According to the Provincial Labor Federation, the movement "Good labor, high productivity, good income" has gradually gone deeper, associated with professional tasks, production, business and innovation requirements at each agency, unit, and enterprise. The movement continues to arouse the spirit of responsibility, learning awareness, improving skills, proactively improving working methods, applying science and technology, digital transformation and artificial intelligence in accordance with reality.
From the reality of the movement, the whole province has had over 3,500 recognized solutions, initiatives, and scientific topics, with a total value of nearly 200 billion VND in profit. Many initiatives not only create economic efficiency but also contribute to improving productivity, product quality, improving working conditions, ensuring safety and improving the operational efficiency of agencies, units, and businesses.
Notably, in less than a month of implementing the selection, the Provincial Labor Federation received 107 dossiers from 46 units. Through review and evaluation according to criteria on productivity, quality, efficiency, safety and innovation, 75 union members and employees of 45 grassroots trade unions were selected for commendation. These are typical factors from many industries and fields, with specific contributions in labor, production and work.
Launching the movement at the Conference, Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation Do Tran Thinh requested trade union levels to continue to implement the movement in a substantive direction, associated with political tasks, production, and business of each unit and enterprise. The focus is on emulation for good labor, improving professional qualifications, skills and digital skills; emulation to improve productivity through initiatives, technical improvements, application of science and technology, digital transformation and AI; and at the same time linking productivity with improving salaries, income, working conditions and welfare of employees.
Mr. Do Tran Thinh also emphasized the requirement to promote the coordinating role between the Trade Union and employers; create an environment for employees to learn, promote initiatives, apply new technologies; strengthen collective dialogue and negotiation on salaries, bonuses, initiative bonuses, vocational training, improving working conditions and increasing income. At the same time, promptly detect, nurture, commend and replicate advanced examples, effective models and ways of doing things.
A key content of the Conference is the Forum for exchange, exchange, and sharing experiences. At the forum, delegates exchanged views on the process from discovering problems in work, forming ideas to experimenting, perfecting and bringing initiatives into application; and shared experiences in creating an environment to encourage workers to innovate and create, thereby promoting intelligence, experience and creativity from work practice. This is also an opportunity to clarify the role of workers in creating specific changes in productivity, quality and work efficiency.
Honoring typical individuals not only recognizes the achievements and contributions of each person but also contributes to spreading the spirit of responsibility, will to overcome difficulties, aspiration to contribute and spirit of innovation in the team of union members and workers.
On this occasion, the Provincial Labor Federation awarded 110 Ton Duc Thang scholarships in 2026 to children of union members and workers, with a total value of 185 million VND; awarded 50 scholarships for the "Accompanying You to School" Program in the 2026 - 2027 school year, with a total value of 50 million VND, from the support of Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade through the Golden Heart Social - Charity Fund.
