On July 24, in Long Xuyen ward, An Giang Provincial Labor Federation organized a meeting program to celebrate the 97th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2026).
This is an opportunity for generations of trade union officials to review the glorious tradition of the Vietnam Trade Union organization, express gratitude to those who have devoted their whole heart to building the workers' movement and trade union activities, and at the same time add faith and motivation to the team of trade union officials in the new development stage.
Before entering the meeting program, the delegates offered incense at the Statue of President Ton Duc Thang and the Memorial Area of President Ton Duc Thang, expressing their respect and remembrance for the outstanding worker, exemplary leader of the Vietnamese working class, the first Honorary President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour.
Next, at the Provincial Labor Culture House, delegates watched the report "An Giang Trade Union - Imprint of a Journey", recreating the 97-year journey of construction and growth of the Vietnam Trade Union, along with the outstanding imprints of the Trade Union organization in the homeland of An Giang.
The highlight of the program is the exchange and sharing of generations of trade union officials. Delegates reviewed many profound memories in the process of being attached to the workers' movement and trade union activities; shared valuable experiences drawn from many years of work, and at the same time sent many expectations to the team of trade union officials today.
Speaking at the program, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang province Tran Thi Thanh Huong acknowledged and praised the great contributions of generations of trade union officials, union members and workers (NLĐ) to the development of the province through periods. The comrade emphasized that the achievements of the Trade Union organization today are the result of the process of inheritance, solidarity and persistent contribution of many generations of trade union officials.
The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee expects the An Giang Provincial Trade Union organization to continue to promote its glorious tradition, strongly innovate the content and methods of operation, build a team of brave, dedicated, and responsible trade union officials. Effectively implement the motto "Where there are workers, there are Trade Union organizations; where workers face difficulties, there are Trade Unions accompanying". Through this, continue to affirm its role as a representative organization, caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers; a solid bridge between the Party, the State and the working class and workers.
On behalf of the Executive Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation, Chairman of An Giang Provincial Labor Federation Do Tran Thinh respectfully thanked the leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee, the companionship of generations of trade union officials through periods. The comrade affirmed that the Executive Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation term I will continue to inherit the glorious tradition, promote the spirit of solidarity, innovation, creativity, build an increasingly strong Trade Union organization; better care for the lives of union members and workers; contribute to building a modern and strong working class, meeting the development requirements of An Giang province in the new period.
