When key expressways are completed along with the formation of industrial zones and clusters of various scales, it will be a premise to attract and improve the quality of human resources, create many new jobs for workers, create conditions for union members and workers (NLD) to increase in number, diversify in structure by industry and economic sectors, especially services and tourism. This is a favorable condition for the Trade Union organization to implement activities to consolidate and build an increasingly strong organization.
Based on the orientations and directions of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, the Provincial Party Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Trade Union activities in the province are forecast to have clear changes, increasingly meeting the requirements and aspirations of union members and workers. Thereby contributing to enhancing the position and role of the Trade Union organization in protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers.
Chairman of An Giang Provincial Labor Federation Do Tran Thinh said that in that context, to meet the requirements and tasks of the new term, it requires trade union levels in the province to unite and continue to strongly innovate in thinking, awareness, content and methods of operation. Proactively grasp the situation, propose flexible and appropriate solutions to successfully implement goals, targets and tasks.
The goal is to innovate content, be creative in operating methods, strengthen digital transformation, and create breakthroughs in Trade Union activities. Effectively perform the function of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers. Promote the development of union members, establish grassroots trade unions (CDCS), and build a strong Trade Union organization.
Improving the capacity and political bravery of trade union officials to meet the requirements in the new situation. Promoting the role of a bridge between the Party, government and workers and laborers; actively participating in building the Party, government and modern and strong working class. Strengthening propaganda and education, promoting emulation movements for good labor and creative labor, contributing to ensuring jobs, increasing income, improving life and successfully implementing the socio-economic development goals of the province.
Some targets by the end of the term such as: At least 90% of cases of union members and trade union organizations with consulting and disputes about legitimate and lawful rights and interests will have trade union representatives participating or being supported by the Trade Union.
Through the emulation movements of the Trade Union organization, striving to have at least 20,000 initiatives of union members and workers applied in production, business and work activities; selecting and proposing to consider awarding at least 100 Creative Labor Certificates.
Strive for at least 85% of units and enterprises with trade union organizations to be eligible to represent, negotiate, and sign collective labor agreements in accordance with the law...

Focusing on performing the task of representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers, promoting dialogue, negotiation, and signing collective labor agreements, focusing on salaries, bonuses, working hours, rest hours, occupational safety and health. Innovating methods of propaganda, mobilization, and gathering union members, creating breakthroughs in the development of union members and establishing grassroots trade unions in non-state-owned enterprises and informal labor areas; improving the quality of the contingent of grassroots trade union officials to meet task requirements. Innovating the operating methods of trade union levels in the province; strongly applying scientific and technological knowledge, digital transformation associated with professional and nghiep vu activities in performing tasks and trade union activities.
