Timely care, timely protection
According to the An Giang Provincial Federation of Labor, in recent times, dialogue and collective bargaining work has been improved in a practical direction, closely following Program No. 05 of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
Trade unions at all levels have organized 215 dialogues to protect the rights of over 3,600 employees; deployed 904 inspections and supervisions, with more than 2,300 recommendations to request the remediation of violations, contributing to building harmonious and stable labor relations. In cases of work accidents, the Trade Union always accompanies employees and their families, promptly requiring businesses to fully implement policies and regimes.
Caring continues to be a bright spot with many creative and practical models. Activities "Tet Sum Vay", "Worker's Month", "Union Meal", 0 VND booths, union member welfare programs... were widely deployed, attracting hundreds of thousands of union members. Of which, more than 116,000 union members whose orders were reduced were supported with a total budget of more than 58.3 billion VND; nearly 25,000 employees participated in the Union Meal; more than 129,000 union members enjoyed incentives from welfare cooperation agreements. The "Union Shelter" program has achieved practical results, in the period of 2023 - 2025, 428 union members have supported the construction and repair of houses with a total amount of 23 billion 695 million VND...
The work of caring for female workers is focused on with many outstanding activities such as reproductive health propaganda, occupational disease prevention; supporting union members' children on the occasion of International Children's Day and the Mid-Autumn Festival... In particular, in the period of 2023 - 2025, 30/23 mass Women's Committees outside the State sector have been established, reaching 130.43% of the target assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
The training and fostering of cadres is carried out regularly with 137 training courses, attracting more than 23,500 cadres, helping to improve dialogue skills, negotiation, occupational safety and hygiene and trade union operations. Legal consulting, job support, social insurance, and regimes for employees continue to be effective and are trusted by union members.
Overcoming difficulties, being flexible, creative to make a breakthrough
Although resources have been sharply reduced from 71 full-time staff to 24 staff, An Giang Trade Union activities have remained stable thanks to flexible and creative approaches. Trade unions at all levels have promoted the application of technology, innovated approaches to businesses, developed more than 43,500 new union members and established 370 grassroots unions, including 338 private enterprise facilities with 20 or more employees. To date, the whole province has more than 116,000 union members out of a total of more than 124,300 workers and civil servants working at 785 grassroots unions and trade unions.

First, improve the quality of representation, protect the legitimate rights and interests of employees. Strengthen dialogue, supervise policy implementation, expand a network of occupational safety and hygiene workers, and at the same time propose investment in trade union institutions in Binh Hoa and Thanh Loc industrial parks to improve living and working conditions for workers.
Second, take more practical and comprehensive care of union members. The union focuses on expanding union member welfare programs, supporting credit - social security, paying more attention to female workers, disadvantaged workers and labor groups affected by socio-economic fluctuations.
Third, strongly innovate methods of operation, improve the quality of organization. The focus is on promoting digital transformation in management, operation, developing union members, building strong grassroots unions; at the same time, improving propaganda efficiency, creating widespread influence among workers, civil servants, and laborers.
