Presenting at the Congress, Vice President of the An Giang Provincial Federation of Labor Pham Van Dang said that the Congress for this term identified the theme as: Focus on representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers; pioneering, innovating, building strong Trade Unions, building a modern and strong working class, entering a new era with the nation. The motto of the Congress is "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development" with 8 specific tasks and solutions.
According to the report, in the period of 2023 - 2025, at all levels of trade unions, most of the targets and tasks of the annual Congress Resolution have reached 100% or more. Direct the implementation of improving the effectiveness of dialogue and collective bargaining in the period of 2023 - 2028" with many practical solutions, focusing on giving comments on the development of regimes and policies for employees at enterprises, especially issues directly related to the legitimate and legal rights and interests of employees.
The work of caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members; supporting union members in difficult circumstances is always identified as a key and regular task of trade unions at all levels in the province. Every year, through the activities of "Tet Sum Vay", "Worker's Month", Traditional Trade Union Day... it always receives the attention and direction of the Provincial Party Committee, support and facilitation of the Provincial People's Committee, of all levels and sectors from the province to the grassroots...
Trade unions at all levels promptly organized visits and gave gifts to more than 600,000 union members and workers with a total amount of over 300 billion VND. Actively mobilizing union members and enterprises to participate in paying the Trade Union Shelter Fund, supporting 428 union members to build and repair houses with a total amount of 23 billion 695 million VND.
The work of developing union members and establishing grassroots unions has had many innovations in the method of mobilizing development, focusing on developing union members and establishing grassroots unions in enterprises, especially enterprises in non-state economic sectors.
In the coming time, the Executive Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor will continue to promote the results achieved in the past term, while focusing on implementing 8 key tasks and solutions.
Also in this working session, on behalf of the Congress Presidium, Chairman of the An Giang Provincial Federation of Labor Do Tran Thinh launched a campaign to support people in the provinces in the Central region and the Central Highlands that suffered heavy damage due to floods. Immediately after the end of the donation, the Congress Organizing Committee will compile statistics and transfer this fund to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang province.
