Attending the Congress were Mr. Nguyen Ngoc An - Chairman of the Vietnam Education Trade Union, Mr. Nguyen Chi Cong - Vice Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor, Colonel Bui The Ky - Head of the Public Affairs Department of the Political Department of Military Region 4, Lieutenant Colonel Manh Thi Thuy Nga - Deputy Head of PA03 Department of Nghe An Provincial Police; along with leaders, former leaders and 159 delegates representing more than 1,000 officers and union members of the School.
According to the Congress report, in the period of 2023 - 2025, the Truong Trade Union has performed well the function of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate rights of civil servants and workers; proactively participating in managing and implementing democratic regulations and improving the material and spiritual life of the team. The average income of civil servants and employees in 2024 will reach 21.8 million VND/month, an increase of 3 million VND compared to 2023.
In the past term, the School Union has stepped up the dissemination of resolutions of the Party, the Education sector and the Union; effectively organized emulation movements such as "Innovation, creativity in management, teaching and learning", "Good teaching - Good learning", "Good at school work - Good at home work", the "Green - Clean - Beautiful, Labor safety" movement. Union members actively participate in scientific research, with 468 international articles of WoS/Scopus and more than 120 scientific and technological tasks deployed during the term.
Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc An - Chairman of the Vietnam Education Trade Union - highly appreciated the results of the Vinh University Trade Union. He affirmed that the school's Trade Union has "operated seriously, creatively, effectively", playing a good role in representing, caring for and protecting workers in the context of university autonomy and strong changes in the industry.
According to him, the school's Trade Union has effectively accompanied the School in developing internal regulations, job position projects, income policies; supporting the improvement of professional capacity for teachers; caring for union members in difficult circumstances; maintaining a "stable, united, progressive and developing" working environment.
The Chairman of the Vietnam Education Trade Union suggested that the Vinh University Trade Union "create inspiration and motivation", take care of the team so that they have a positive, creative and confident spirit to contribute in an increasingly competitive environment; at the same time, promote the 3-year tradition of "finding new answers to un new problems", contributing to building harmonious - stable labor relations.
For the 2025 - 2030 term, the Vinh University Trade Union set the motto of action "Solidarity - Democracy - Creativity - Breakthrough - Development", focusing on improving the quality of the team, supporting lecturers to achieve a rate of over 68% of PhDs by 2030, promoting international publications, building a cultural - civilized pedagogical environment and introducing 10-15 outstanding union members to the Party each year.
The Congress passed the Resolution of the Vinh University Trade Union Congress for the 2025 - 2030 term with high consensus. At the same time, the Executive Committee of the Vinh University Trade Union for the 2025 - 2030 term was elected, consisting of 13 comrades.
Ms. Pham Thi Binh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Vinh University Party Committee was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the School's Trade Union; Mr. Nguyen Hong Soa - Head of the Department of Political Affairs - Students, students to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Trade Union for the 51st tenure.
