During a working trip to Dien Bien province, Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) - visited, presented gifts and wished Tet to union members and workers in difficult circumstances at Dien Bien Cement Joint Stock Company (Sam Mun commune).
Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour Thai Thu Xuong visited life and work and presented 15 gifts to 15 union members and workers in difficult circumstances. Each gift includes 1 million VND in cash and a gift bag of essential goods worth 300,000 VND.
Currently, Dien Bien Cement Joint Stock Company has 235 officials, workers, and laborers operating in 7 Trade Union groups.
In 2026, the grassroots Trade Union proactively proposed practical welfare plans to the company's Board of Directors such as: Increasing the value of shift meals for direct employees; bonuses for the 13th month's full salary and a salary increase roadmap for all officials and employees.
Speaking at the program, Ms. Thai Thu Xuong acknowledged the efforts of businesses and grassroots trade union organizations in taking care of workers' lives.
Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour emphasized the important role of grassroots trade unions in building progressive labor relations. Wishing the Trade Union to continue to pay attention and unify with the Company's Board of Directors to well implement the motto "harmonious benefits, sharing difficulties".
Also during a business trip to Dien Bien (afternoon of January 22), Ms. Thai Thu Xuong visited and presented gifts to express gratitude to Dien Bien soldiers living in Dien Bien Phu ward, including: Mr. Nguyen Huu Chap (born 1931) and Mr. Nguyen Viet Diem (born 1930).
