Taking care of Tet for workers
According to the program and operating plan for 2026 of the Dien Bien Provincial Labor Federation, provincial trade union levels will focus on targets directly related to workers' rights.
Mr. Tan Minh Long - Chairman of the Dien Bien Provincial Labor Federation (LDLD) said that the theme of activities in 2026 is "Promoting innovation, concretizing, and bringing the Resolutions of the Party Congress, Fatherland Front, and Trade Union into life".
Specifically, the Provincial Labor Federation strives to have at least 80% of units and enterprises with trade union organizations that are eligible to negotiate and sign collective labor agreements.

In addition, the issue of improving the quality of human resources is also focused on. The Trade Union aims to participate in promoting 85% of workers at enterprises to study to improve their qualifications and professional skills.
The Provincial Labor Federation also strives to develop 400 new union members and establish grassroots trade unions in 1 enterprise with 10 or more workers.
According to Mr. Tan Minh Long, in January 2026, the Provincial Labor Federation directed the organization of the program "Tet Reunion - Spring of Gratitude to the Party" and "Trade Union Tet Market - Spring 2026" with the motto "All union members and workers have Tet, celebrate Tet".
Trade union levels will proactively grasp the situation of salary and bonus payments. Organize visits and allowances for families of workers, civil servants and laborers in particularly difficult circumstances and visit and encourage Tet duty units.
In particular, in 2026, the "Trade Union Home" support activity will continue to be maintained to help union members settle down and start a career. The Provincial Labor Federation will coordinate to organize a dialogue conference between the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and union members and workers, expected to take place in the second quarter of 2026.
Removing the "knot
According to Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hoang - Chairman of the Dien Bien Phu Ward Trade Union, the Provincial Labor Federation needs to soon allocate the number of Tet gifts. This will help the establishment have time to prepare carefully and promptly encourage union members and workers during the upcoming Lunar New Year.

In particular, the biggest "bottleneck" lies in personnel and funding issues. "Existing limited operating costs have significantly affected the organization of the movement.
Regarding personnel, currently the Trade Union of communes and wards only has 1 comrade Chairman concurrently Vice Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee. Meanwhile, the area has many key projects related to site clearance, the volume of propaganda and mobilization work for people is very large" - Mr. Hoang said.
Faced with this reality, the Dien Bien Phu Ward Trade Union believes that the Provincial Labor Federation is interested in adding more full-time trade union officials to ensure successful completion of tasks.
To solve the management problem, the 2026 program of the Dien Bien Provincial Labor Federation has set a target of 100% of grassroots trade union chairmen and vice chairmen who participate for the first time being trained and fostered in trade union work nghiep vu.
Along with that, 100% of full-time trade union officials are trained, trained, and fostered in professional, nghiep vu, political theory, and work skills.
