Expanding the Trade Union organization
Identifying the development of union members and the establishment of grassroots trade unions (CĐCS) as a key and consistent task, the Bac Ninh Provincial Labor Federation has implemented many drastic solutions, suitable to reality.
Every year, trade union levels in the province promote the work of investigating and surveying businesses and the situation of workers to build targets for developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions. The results of implementation are included in the criteria for evaluation, ranking and year-end commendation, creating motivation for units to strive to complete their tasks.
Thanks to methodical and proactive approaches, in just over two years, trade union levels in Bac Ninh province have established 488 new grassroots trade unions, admitting 158,028 union members. To date, the Provincial Labor Federation manages 2,148 grassroots trade unions with 578,335 union members, making Bac Ninh one of the five localities with the largest number of union members and grassroots trade unions in the country.
A special milestone in the union member development of Bac Ninh Trade Union is the expansion of the target group to foreign workers. On May 27, Bac Ninh Provincial Labor Federation organized a ceremony to admit 492 union members who are foreign workers working at Fukang Technology Co., Ltd.
According to Mr. Thach Van Chung - Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial Labor Federation, this event affirms that Bac Ninh Trade Union is not only a legal support but also a spiritual home for foreign workers living and working in the province.
Currently, Fukang Technology Co., Ltd. has 710 foreign workers signing labor contracts and participating in insurance in Vietnam. Among them, 492 people have voluntarily joined the Trade Union organization, accounting for nearly 69% of the total number of foreign workers of the company.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Luy - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Fukang Technology Co., Ltd. - informed that the admission ceremony takes place during the implementation of new regulations of the law on trade unions for foreign workers in Vietnam, so it is even more special.
That joy was also shared emotionally by Ms. Ly Boi Hong - a union member of Fukang Technology Co., Ltd. Trade Union. According to her, being in the ranks of the Trade Union is not only an honor but also shows the recognition of the enterprise and the Trade Union organization for the contributions of workers. What makes her and many foreign workers feel most clearly is the humanity of the Vietnam Trade Union, a place that always accompanies and protects the rights of workers and builds a united, harmonious, and close working environment.
Improve operational quality
In parallel with expanding the organization, Bac Ninh Trade Union pays special attention to improving the quality of operations and building a contingent of officials to meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation.
Many synchronous solutions have been implemented to consolidate the organizational foundation. Annually, the rate of grassroots trade unions completing tasks well and excellently reaches an average of 85.7%, reflecting the increasingly improved operational efficiency.
The work of arranging and streamlining the organizational structure was deployed early, ensuring streamlining, effectiveness, and efficiency. The planning, introduction of cadres to run for election, appointment, transfer, and implementation of cadre policies were carried out seriously and in accordance with regulations.
In particular, the work of training and fostering trade union officials is focused on on a large scale. From 2023 to now, the Provincial Labor Federation has directed the organization of 168 training classes, skills and professional development for 26,682 turns of trade union officials.
Propaganda and dissemination of laws have also been innovated in both content and form. Trade union levels have organized 52 communication conferences for 21,981 union members and workers on traffic safety, prevention of cyber fraud, Labor Code, gender equality and many other practical contents...
