On June 27, 2025, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front issued a decision on the functions and tasks of the Trade Union Working Committee.
The Trade Union Working Committee has the function of advising and assisting the Standing Committee, the Presidium, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and directly and regularly the Standing Committee (currently the Presidium), the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in implementing the Law on the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Law on Trade Unions, the Charter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Charter of Trade Unions and resolutions and regulations of the Party and State related to the workers' movement, trade union activities, directly the synthesis and administration work; international cooperation, emulation - reward work and the management of trade union finance and assets, the management of public service units and enterprises of the Vietnam Trade Union according to regulations. Coordinate with departments and units of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to advise on tasks related to the leadership and direction of the Standing Committee and the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
The Trade Union Working Committee advises on the work of the Standing Committee, the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and directly and regularly the Standing Committee, the Standing Committee, the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the following tasks:
General, administrative, emulation, reward, document and archive work; international cooperation on trade unions; management, scientific - technological research, innovation, digital transformation of trade union organizations; financial work, trade union assets and management of public service units and enterprises of trade union organizations; inspection and supervision of trade union finances...
The Head of the Trade Union Work Committee is responsible to the Standing Committee, the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Standing Committee, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for the management and operation of the activities of cadres, civil servants, and workers in the Committee; to manage daily work in the Committee; to coordinate with the Party Committee, the Trade Union, promote democracy, and unite to strive to complete the tasks assigned by the Standing Committee, the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Standing Committee, and the Standing Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
The Deputy Head of the Committee is the person directly assisting the Head of the Committee and the Standing Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, responsible for the assigned fields and work.
