On August 9, the Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation organized the handover of the "Union Shelter" to Ms. Vo Mong Kieu, the grassroots union of Sa Giang Import-Export Joint Stock Company; Mr. Nguyen Van Ly, the grassroots union of Viet Thang Livestock Food Joint Stock Company (Sa Dec Industrial Park, Sa Dec Ward).
Participating were Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tuan - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nhan - Head of the Industrial Parks Trade Union Department; and representatives of the Company's leaders, local authorities of Tan Nhuan Dong commune, Dong Thap province...
After 2 months of construction, the 2 Union Shelters have been completed and put into use. In which, Ms. Vo Mong Kieu's house has an area of 72m2 (4.5m x 16m wide) with a wall structure, corrugated iron roof, cotton brick floor, with a total glass fee of 210 million VND. Of which, the Management Board of the Dong Thap Golden Heart Social Charity Fund Branch raised 60 million VND, the rest was the family's savings and support from Ms. Mong Kieu's relatives.
Mr. Nguyen Van Ly's Trade Union Shelter has an area of 75m2 (5m x 15m wide) with a wall structure, corrugated iron roof, and cotton brick floorings, with a construction cost of 225 million VND. Of which, the Management Board of the Dong Thap Golden Heart Social Charity Fund Branch supported 60 million VND, the rest was from Mr. Nguyen Van Ly's family who had saved up over the years and borrowed from relatives and friends.
At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tuan - Vice President of the Provincial Labor Federation congratulated the family of Ms. Vo Mong Kieu and Mr. Nguyen Van Ly on a new, spacious house to stabilize their lives, work with peace of mind, and complete assigned tasks well.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tuan added that the "Union Shelter" support program has become an activity with widespread influence, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity, mutual love, and mutual support "the healthy leaves cover the torn leaves", which has been widely supported by union members and workers. Through the program, it has contributed to building trust and realizing the dreams of settling down for union members with difficult housing circumstances.
