Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Nhut, a worker at Song Tien Garment Joint Stock Company (Dong Thap province), was honored to be a delegate attending the groundbreaking ceremony of the trade union social housing project under the trade union institutional construction project in My Tho Industrial Park, Trung An Industrial Cluster on July 26. After hearing about the union social housing project, Ms. Nhut and her colleagues could not hide their joy and excitement with the dream of settling down and making a living.
The female worker shared that due to special circumstances, since entering the company, she has tried very hard to complete the assigned tasks. Luckily, she was able to stay in the company's house, however, her dream of having a personal home never faints in her.

"With the current high cost of living and prices, we can only manage our daily lives. I have savings but it is far to buy a house. Now that we heard that the trade union organization had built a trade union social housing, we were very happy" - Ms. Nhut said.
Ms. Nhut also expressed that when spreading this joy to her colleagues, everyone was excited. Because, for many years, for workers far from home, economic conditions have been difficult, and they have had to accept the situation of cramped and deprived rental housing.
"Rental money and expenses are a big burden. Many brothers and sisters have to temporarily live in humid rented rooms, away from work, causing many health and mental consequences" - Ms. Nhut said.

Information from the Trade Union Project Management Board, Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL), the trade union social housing project under the trade union institutional construction project in My Tho Industrial Park and Trung An Industrial Cluster is the first project invested by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor using trade union financial capital.
