On the afternoon of August 15, the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor (DOLF) held a handover ceremony of the Trade Union Shelter to Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Phuong, residing in Tan Qui hamlet, Sa Dec ward, a union member of the Trade Union of Sa Dec Grass Garment Company Limited. Attending the event were Ms. Huynh Thi Tuyet Vui - President of the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor.
The house has an area of nearly 50 m2, with a total construction cost of 180 million VND. Of which, the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund of Dong Thap Trade Union supported 60 million VND, the rest was contributed by the family.
It is known that Ms. Phuong's family has 6 members, her husband is currently a hired employee, so his income is unstable, he has to raise 3 young children and his mother is old, most of the family's expenses depend on the salary from Ms. Phuong's shift work. Timely support for her family to have a new house has helped the family have a spacious place to live and work with peace of mind in the coming time.
Ms. Huynh Thi Tuyet Vui - President of the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor said that this is one of 100 Trade Union Shelters in the temporary house removal program launched by the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor to celebrate the Dong Thap Provincial Party Congress.
Congratulating Ms. Kim Phuong on her new, spacious house, Ms. Huynh Thi Tuyet Vui hopes that when she has a new house, Ms. Phuong will have more joy and motivation to stick with the company and work with peace of mind in the near future. The Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor also requested that grassroots trade unions continue to pay attention to and care for union members, detect difficult housing circumstances to promptly support and promote the value of the Dong Thap Trade Union Golden Heart Social Charity Fund.
