The base salary is 2.34 million VND/month (according to the provisions of Article 3 of Decree 73/2024/ND-CP). With an expected increase of 8%, the base salary will increase to 2,527,200 VND/month from July 1. 2026.
And if nothing changes, according to the provisions of Circular 07/2024/TT-BNV, the salary scale for cadres, civil servants, public employees and armed forces is still calculated according to the formula:
Salary = Salary coefficient x Base salary.
Accordingly, the new salary scale from July 1, 2026 for primary school teachers is expected to be calculated according to the base salary of 2,527,200 VND/month and the salary coefficient specified in Decree 204/2004/ND-CP.
The salary ranking method for primary school teachers according to Article 8 of Circular 02/2021/TT-BGDĐT stipulates that civil servants appointed to professional titles of primary school teachers specified in Circular 02/2021/TT-BGDĐT are subject to the corresponding salary scale issued together with Decree 204/2004/ND-CP:
Primary school teachers grade III, code V.07. 03. 29, are applied the salary coefficient of civil servant type A1, from salary coefficient 2.34 to salary coefficient 4.98;
Primary school teachers of grade II, code V.07. 03. 28, are applied the salary coefficient of civil servants type A2, group A2. 2, from salary coefficient 4.00 to salary coefficient 6.38;
Primary school teachers of grade I, code V.07. 03. 27, are applied the salary coefficient of civil servants type A2, group A2. 1, from salary coefficient 4.40 to salary coefficient 6.78.
