On the occasion of the 96th anniversary of the first issue of Lao Dong Newspaper (August 14, 1929 - August 14, 2025), on August 12, a working delegation of the Can Tho City Labor Federation (LDLD) led by Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, member of the City Party Committee, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the City, President of the Can Tho City Labor Federation - visited and congratulated the collective of cadres and reporters of the Lao Dong Newspaper Representative Office in the Mekong Delta (MD).
On behalf of the Standing Committee of the City Labor Federation, Ms. Mai congratulated and thanked Lao Dong Newspaper for its contributions to the propaganda work of all aspects of the City Labor Union's activities in the past time.
Not only devoting much content to reflecting the key programs of the City Labor Federation, the quality articles on content by staff and reporters of Lao Dong Newspaper in the Mekong Delta have strongly impacted union members and workers in the area, contributing to raising awareness, strengthening trust and promoting union activities in depth and substance.
In the new context, the operation of the two-level local government model will have certain advantages and challenges, requiring the City Labor Federation to flexibly adapt to meet the requirements of assigned tasks.
The Chairman of the Can Tho City Labor Federation hopes that in the coming time, as a communication agency of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Lao Dong Newspaper in general and the Lao Dong Newspaper Representative Office in the Mekong Delta in particular will continue to accompany and stand side by side with the activities of the City Labor Federation, promptly and fully inform members and employees, contributing to the City Labor Union in completing its political tasks.
On behalf of Lao Dong Newspaper in the Mekong Delta, Mr. Phan Ngoc Truong Nhan - Deputy Head in charge of the Lao Dong Newspaper Representative Office in the Mekong Delta - on behalf of the staff and reporters of Lao Dong Newspaper in the Mekong Delta, respectfully thanked the support and support of the Can Tho City Trade Union at all levels in coordinating and creating conditions for reporters to work in the locality in the past time.
On that basis, in the coming time, Lao Dong Newspaper hopes to continue to receive more coordination and support for information from the City Trade Union at all levels, especially feedback from the grassroots. Lao Dong Newspaper will also actively coordinate with the City Labor Federation to continue to innovate and diversify propaganda methods in accordance with the current situation. From there, issue multi-dimensional, quality articles, promptly reflecting the lives, thoughts, and aspirations of cadres, union members, and employees as well as activities to care for and protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of employees and labor movements of the city's Trade Unions at all levels.
