On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27,4747 - July 27, 2025), the Trade Union Committee coordinated with the Women's Union of the Can Tho City Police Department to organize a delegation to visit and present gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and veterans participating in the resistance war against the US to save the country in the city.

This is an activity demonstrating the affection and morality of "When drinking water, remember its source", "Retitude" of the officers and soldiers of the City Police for those who sacrificed and devoted themselves to the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.
The delegation visited Vietnamese Heroic Mother Le Thi Binh and Vietnamese Heroic Mother Huynh Thi Lanh, mothers whose children heroically sacrificed during the resistance war for national independence and freedom.

Despite their old age and weak health, the mothers were still moved when the City Police visited and expressed their deep gratitude. In the warm and calm atmosphere, officers and soldiers kindly visited their health, listened to simple but sacred stories about the war years, about the silent sacrifice of mothers for the cause of national liberation.

Next, the delegation visited Ms. Huynh Thi Kien, a former tour guide who participated in the resistance war against the US to save the country and fought directly in the area during the resistance war, a simple but resilient person who contributed significantly to building a people's heart position and maintaining the revolutionary foundation.
The activity is not only a gratitude on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the War Invalids and Martyrs Day, but also an opportunity for young officers and soldiers to learn and absorb the traditional revolutionary values, raise their sense of responsibility in work, live ideally and always value peace and independence today.
