In which, the responsibility of the Department of Disease Prevention is based on Article 21.
Article 21. Responsibilities of the Department of Disease Prevention
1. Direct and organize the implementation of health check-ups before arranging work, health check-ups to detect occupational diseases and statistics and reports of occupational diseases nationwide; inspect and supervise health check-up activities before arranging work, health check-ups to detect occupational diseases and propose to competent authorities to handle violations according to the provisions of law.
2. Building and updating the occupational disease database into information on medical examination, treatment, and rehabilitation belonging to the national database on health, including the following contents:
a) Name of medical examination and treatment facility licensed for professional medical examination and treatment activities or medical examination and treatment facility supplemented with professional medical examination and treatment activities;
b) Name of agency, unit, enterprise with employees diagnosed with occupational diseases;
c) Name of occupational disease diagnosed;
d) Number of workers diagnosed with occupational diseases according to occupational disease classification who are entitled to social insurance.
3. Direct units under the Ministry of Health to develop content and organize training on occupational diseases.
4. Presiding over and coordinating with relevant units to guide the implementation of this Circular.
