In the Draft Project on Management and Development of Green Tree Systems, Parks, Flower Gardens, and Water Surfaces in the city, the Hanoi People's Committee said that in Hanoi there are 4 thematic parks: Bach Thao Park, Hanoi Zoo, Water Park and Bao Son Paradise Park.
Bach Thao Park, with an area of 12.5ha, has historical and cultural value as a green space in the central area of Ba Dinh with a diverse flora.
Thu Le Park has an area of 21.9ha, with conservation value, with hundreds of animals including rare and precious species.
Water Park (Water Park - West Lake) has an area of 3.5ha.
Bao Son Paradise Park with an area of about 14 hectares is a diverse amusement park combined with culture and ecotourism.
Hanoi's 4 thematic parks have comprehensive values in terms of ecology, culture, society and economy, and are important highlights in urban space. They are both places to preserve cultural memories and entertainment - education - tourism destinations, contributing to affirming Hanoi as a green - civilized - civilized - modern city.
The City People's Committee said that new urban areas and suburban districts are still lacking large-scale thematic parks.
From the above situation, the city plans to build 25 more specialized parks from now to 2030 with a total area of 2,137.5ha. The total investment to build these 25 parks is more than 87,645 billion VND.

- Kim Quy Park (Dong Anh commune)
- Cultural - Educational - Service Park (Viet Hung ward)
- City combined sports green park (Phuc Thinh commune)
- Multi-functional park (An Khanh commune)
- Urban-level green park zone 1-2 (Quoc Oai commune)
- Urban-level green park in area 2B-3 (Quoc Oai commune)
- Tan Lap Park, Tay Tuu (O Dien commune)
- Pharmaceutical market park, regulating lake and services (Phu Dong commune)
- Air conditioning lake park, culture and sports, public services and new urban residential area (Phu Dong commune)
- Sports green space 3 (Thu Lam commune)
- Theme park (Suoi Hai commune)
- Phu Dong Historical Cultural Park (Phu Dong commune)
- Trau Quy urban functional park (Gia Lam commune)
- Green park with mixed production functions, research and experimentation in high-tech agricultural production combined with environmental and ecological education entertainment functions (Phu Xuyen commune)

- Me Linh Sports Park (Me Linh commune)

A thematic park is a park with a specific purpose of use; designed to serve one or more groups of specialized activities such as: entertainment, cultural exchange, sports, education - research; located in a suitable location for the purpose of use, not built on green land for urban public use.
