The norms for using working areas of commune-level positions are based on the appendix issued with Decree No. 155/2025/ND-CP (effective from July 1, 2025).

According to Appendix II on standards and norms for using working areas of local titles, titles and positions at the commune level have the following norms for using working areas:

Party Committee secretary at the commune level and equivalent: Maximum area of 30 m2/person.

Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee at the commune level and equivalent; Chairman of the People's Council, People's Committee at the commune level; Vice Chairman of the People's Council, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee at the commune level; Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee at the commune level; senior specialist, main specialist and equivalent of the department, provincial and commune-level agencies, departments and branches: Maximum area: 20 m2/person.

Department heads, Deputy Department heads, departments, agencies and equivalent at the commune level: Maximum area: 18 m2/person.

Specialists and equivalent titles in the locality (including commune-level civil servants): Maximum area: 15 m2/person.
