On the morning of June 4, at the National Convention Center (Hanoi), the delegation of Gia Lai Provincial Trade Union attended the opening session of the XIV Vietnam Trade Union Congress, term 2026-2031.
Before the opening ceremony, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee Thai Dai Ngoc met and encouraged the provincial delegation.
Gia Lai Provincial Party Secretary requested the Provincial Trade Union Delegation to promote the spirit of responsibility, wisdom and practical experience; actively participate in discussions, contribute opinions to important contents of the Congress; fully reflect the thoughts and aspirations of union members and workers in the province.
At the same time, it is necessary to uphold the spirit of solidarity and responsibility, contributing to the overall success of the Congress as well as the development of the Vietnam Trade Union organization in the new term.
The 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress was attended by General Secretary and President To Lam, along with leaders and former leaders of the Party and State, and 780 delegates representing 10 million trade union members nationwide.
The Congress takes place with the theme: "Building a comprehensively strong Vietnam Trade Union; focusing on representing, caring for, and protecting union members and workers; promoting pioneering roles, the spirit of innovation, contributing to realizing the aspiration to build a rich, prosperous, civilized, and happy country".
Representing more than 80,000 union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers in the province, the Gia Lai Trade Union Delegation attended the Congress with the responsibility of fully conveying the thoughts and aspirations of workers; proposing solutions to remove difficulties, improve jobs, income and welfare for union members and workers.
According to Mr. Ha Duy Trung - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial Labor Federation, Head of the delegation, in addition to participating in contributing opinions to the Congress documents, the delegation will focus on proposing many contents related to local practice.
In which, the delegation proposed solutions to improve welfare for workers in remote and isolated areas, ethnic minority areas and border areas; promote the development of social housing and trade union facilities serving workers.
The delegation also proposed to continue innovating labor production emulation movements, associated with improving productivity, work efficiency and income of workers, in accordance with the specifics of the Central Highlands agricultural and forestry economy.
At the same time, it proposed to promote digital transformation in Trade Union activities, especially the management of union members, receiving and resolving workers' petitions in the digital environment.
In the following working sessions, the delegation of Gia Lai Provincial Trade Union will participate in thematic forums, contribute opinions on personnel work and elect the Executive Committee of the 14th Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, term 2026-2031.
