Building the first social housing apartment in a city with a large number of workers
On May 27, Phuc Dat Production and Trading Company Limited started construction of a social housing project (NOXH) in Tan Hiep ward, Tan Uyen city, Binh Duong province. This is one of the first social housing apartment projects in Tan Uyen City.
The above social housing project implementation location is located in the middle of an area with many factories and industrial parks with a large concentration of workers. The project is built on a land area of more than 1.1 hectares, with a scale of 3 blocks of 18 floors and 1 basement. The total floor area is up to 76,000m2. The project provides the market with 936 apartments.
Mr. Nguyen Van Manh - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Phuc Dat Production and Trading Company Limited - said that the housing area will have full accommodation needs and living facilities for employees such as: Community activity area, sports area, kindergarten, park, parking lot. This project aims to contribute to the State's implementation of the goal of building 1 million social housing units for low-income workers.
Hearing the news of a social housing project in Tan Uyen City, many workers were excited and hoped to have more opportunities to buy an apartment to settle down and make a living. Mr. Nguyen Van Truong (37 years old, from Thanh Hoa) shared: "I have been working in Tan Hiep ward, Tan Uyen city for 6 years and am still renting a room. Seeing the Phuc Social Housing Project under construction, I was very happy. Hopefully the project will have a selling price that is within the budget of imported workers. I think the selling price is from 12-15 million VND/m2, then I can access it".
632 social housing units are eligible for sale
In Tan Dinh ward, Ben Cat city, the Thang Long social housing project is one of the first apartment projects for low-income workers. Ben Cat is the 5th city of Binh Duong province, the city has 8 industrial parks with about 150,000 workers. However, there are still very few low-cost housing projects for workers.
The Thang Long social housing project has a land area of 10,000m2, built 3 18-storey apartment blocks. The total floor area for housing construction is 79,407m2 with more than 1,000 apartments. The apartment has 7 types of apartments with areas from 30.5m2 to 65.5m2 per apartment.
According to records, the project was implemented before 2020, but then stopped construction for many reasons. The project was not restarted until early 2025. Currently, the project has been built to the 17th floor.
The investor said that by June 2025, the roofs of the buildings will be erected and completed. It is expected that the apartments will be handed over at the end of 2026 and the beginning of 2027.
According to the Department of Construction of Binh Duong province, there is a document appraising the selling price of social housing at the Thang Long social housing project (Tan Dinh ward, Ben Cat city, Binh Duong province) at 20.44 million VND/m2. A representative of the Department of Construction informed that there are 632 houses in this project eligible for sale and lease-purchase of social housing in the future.

Attending the promotion ceremony at the Phuc Dat Social Import Project, Mr. Bui Minh Tri - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the enterprise deploying the construction of the social housing project in the crowded area of workers in Tan Uyen City. Vice Chairman of Binh Duong People's Committee proposed the investor to focus on directing the project to protect the progress and quality of the project. Thereby, creating a spacious and modern residential area, serving employees, contributing to the urbanization process of the province in the near future.
