Responding to the series of activities to celebrate the 97th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2026), at noon on July 31, the Lai Thieu Ward Trade Union coordinated with the Board of Directors and the Trade Union of ASG Vina Co., Ltd. to organize the "Trade Union Meal" program, combined with propaganda on crime prevention and control, drug evils and the implementation of "Month of listening to union members and workers speak".
Attending the program were Ms. Dang Thi Kim Chi - Deputy Head of Task Force No. 4, Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation; Mr. Ha Minh Tuan - Party Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lai Thieu Ward, Chairman of the Trade Union of Lai Thieu Ward; representatives of the Board of Directors of ASG Vina Co., Ltd. and 760 union members and employees of this enterprise.

According to the Organizing Committee, the program served 760 meals with a total value of 45,000 VND/meal, of which businesses supported 20,000 VND/meal and grassroots trade unions supported an additional 25,000 VND/meal. The meals were prepared thoughtfully, ensuring nutrition, not only contributing to improving the quality of lunch meals but also creating a cozy atmosphere, connecting workers, businesses and trade union organizations.
The highlight of the program is the propaganda activity on crime prevention and control and drug evils right at the workplace. Through direct propaganda, union members and workers are disseminated legal regulations, raising awareness and skills in preventing crimes and social evils, contributing to building a safe and healthy working environment.

Not only stopping at taking care of meals, "Trade Union Meal" is also an opportunity for union members and workers to directly share their thoughts, aspirations, reflect difficulties and obstacles in the working process as well as propose recommendations related to employment, income, working conditions, regimes, policies and social security. Through open exchanges, the Lai Thieu Ward Trade Union, grassroots trade unions and businesses promptly listen, record, coordinate to consider, resolve or propose to competent authorities to handle legitimate opinions of workers, contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations. This is also one of the specific activities of "Month of Listening to Union Members and Workers' Voices" implemented by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation and Lai Thieu Ward Trade Union in the area.

Through the "Trade Union Meal" program, the Lai Thieu Ward Trade Union continues to affirm its role in accompanying businesses in caring for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers; and at the same time promote the role of representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers by listening to, receiving and promptly reflecting thoughts and aspirations from the grassroots level, contributing to building an increasingly strong Trade Union organization and building stable and sustainable labor relations.
