On the occasion of the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (1929-2025), many grassroots trade unions in the province organized the program "Union Meal - Connecting love, full of affection" with the spirit of practical care for the lives of workers.
At the Trade Union of Hung Long II Garment Joint Stock Company, the program was organized as a thank you to all union members and workers. Not just simply "eating to be content", but "eating together, having fun together" - a group meal becomes an opportunity to share, encourage spirit and create cohesion among members of the business.
The effectiveness of the program has been upgraded in both quality and value, as a way to express the affection and appreciation of the trade union organization for the contributions of workers.
Similarly, the Trade Union of Bangjie Textile Co., Ltd. (Vietnam) also implemented the "Union Meal" program with the participation of more than 900 union members and workers. Each meal is worth 75,000 VND, of which the company supports 25,000 VND (equal to the regular meal level), the remaining 50,000 VND is sponsored by the Union. This is not only a nutritious meal, but also a meal full of affection for colleagues.
A special feature of the program at Bangjie is the activity of giving gifts of gratitude to union members in especially difficult circumstances. 12 gifts, each worth 800,000 VND, were sent to children of families with preferential policies, war invalids, martyrs, people with meritorious services to the revolution and workers suffering from serious illnesses. Thereby, the Trade Union not only demonstrates its representative role, but is also a warm and close support in the lives of workers.
Union Meal seems to be simple but has a profound meaning: it is a care from the smallest things, a bridge between the union and the workers, a bond to preserve the affection, spirit and trust in each labor collective.
