At a meeting with Chief of the Japanese Prime Minister's Office Hayashi Yoshimasa on July 29, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien affirmed that with its foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralization and diversification, Vietnam always attaches importance to its relationship with Japan, considering it a top priority in cooperation with Vietnam in all fields.
Mr. Do Van Chien expressed his delight at the development of Vietnam-Japan cooperation in many aspects that has achieved many results, affirming that Vietnam will actively participate in the conference of deputy foreign ministers and defense ministers.
Mr. Do Van Chien said that the revolution of streamlining the apparatus in Vietnam, under the leadership of the Politburo, the Secretariat and headed by General Secretary To Lam, aims to achieve many basic goals, including the goal of reforming administrative procedures to further attract foreign investment and boost domestic investment.
Mr. Do Van Chien hopes that the Japanese Government will create favorable conditions to better support the Vietnamese community living, studying and working in Japan, and at the same time sympathize with the Japanese Government's policy on increasing vocational training and skills development for foreigners living, studying and working in Japan, including Vietnamese people, to achieve better results.
Mr. Do Van Chien said that the prospects for scientific and training cooperation between the two countries are very large and believed that political trust, economic - cultural cooperation as well as other fields will achieve good results on the basis of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien affirmed that safety, security, cooperation for mutual development, and the desire for happiness for people are consistent guidelines of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the country of Vietnam. Mr. Do Van Chien believes that Japan and Vietnam will support and share with each other in multilateral relations, while supporting each other to develop better in bilateral cooperation.
At the meeting with Vice Chairman of the House of Representatives of Japan Gemba Koichiro, Vice Chairman of the House of Representatives welcomed the high-ranking delegation of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to visit Japan and said that he had the opportunity to visit Vietnam during his tenure as Foreign Minister of Japan. He was pleased to see the solid development of bilateral relations in recent years.

Agreeing with the assessment of Vice Chairman of the House of Representatives of Japan, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien affirmed that bilateral relations have developed substantially and effectively in many fields with increasingly high political trust between the two countries.
Referring to the Vietnamese people in Japan, which is currently the second largest foreign community in the country, Mr. Do Van Chien expressed his hope that Vice President Gemba Koichiro, in his position, would promote policies to facilitate Vietnamese people living and working in Japan to stabilize their lives, contribute and build a Japanese socio-economic development as well as contribute to bilateral relations.
The Vice Chairman of the House of Representatives said that Vietnam is the country with the most trainees in Japan. In Fukushima, home of House Vice Chairman Gemba Koichiro, there are about 5,000 Vietnamese workers working there. Mr. Gemba Koichiro emphasized that Vietnamese labor has become one of the core forces of the Japanese economy. He affirmed that he will continue to make efforts to improve the mechanism for receiving workers from Vietnam, supporting Vietnamese people living in Japan.
The Vice Chairman of the House of Representatives thanked Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien for informing that Vietnam has completed the arrangement and streamlining of the central and local administrative apparatus. The Vice Chairman of the House of Representatives suggested that Vietnam continue to improve the investment environment as well as create favorable conditions for Japanese enterprises to invest in localities in Vietnam.
At a meeting with Chairman of the Central Executive Committee of the Japanese Communist Party Kazuo Shii, Mr. Do Van Chien said that the Communist Party of Vietnam is currently holding Party Congresses at all levels to move towards the 14th National Congress of the Party in early 2026. Chairman Do Van Chien informed about the situation in Vietnam and said that all policies and guidelines have received high consensus within the Party, as well as consensus from the people.

Chairman Kazuo Shii wished the Communist Party of Vietnam to continue to reap more success in the cause of innovation. President Kazuo Shiii expressed his hope that on the basis of the relationship between the Communist Party of Japan and the Communist Party of Vietnam since the 60s of the last century, the relationship between the two parties will continue to develop firmly in the following years.
Referring to the Vietnamese community in Japan, Chairman Kazuo Shii affirmed that the Communist Party of Japan will continue to implement activities to protect the legitimate rights of Vietnamese people living and working in Japan, combating discriminatory activities and infringing on the rights of foreigners in Japan.
Earlier, Mr. Do Van Chien met Obuchi Yuko - President of the Japan -Vietnam Friendship Senator, Head of the Organizing Committee of the movement of the Right -Right Democratic Party (LDP); Meeting Mr. Saito Tetsuo - Chairman of the Cong Minh Party and the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) Japan; Intimate encounter with the Chairman of the Council for promotion of the people's foreign affairs (FEC) Ken Matsuzawa.
During the visit, Mr. Do Van Chien visited Tokyo University of Science, met with the Board of Directors, visited Professor Pham Nam Hai's LAB room and interacted with Vietnamese students studying and researching at the school.

Mr. Do Van Chien and the delegation visited and worked with the Vietnamese community in Japan and officials and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan.
After listening to the wishes and proposals of representatives of Vietnamese associations in Japan, Mr. Do Van Chien highly appreciated the achievements and efforts of the Vietnamese community in Japan.
Mr. Do Van Chien emphasized that the Party, State and people of Vietnam highly value Vietnamese people living and working abroad, considering them an inseparable part of the Vietnamese people.
