Towards the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union, the Trade Union of Bangjie Textile Co., Ltd. (Vietnam) organized the "Union Meal" program with the participation of more than 900 union members and workers working at the enterprise.
The program is designed to create a warm and cohesive atmosphere within workers, while clearly demonstrating the caring role of the Trade Union organization. Each meal in the program is worth 75,000 VND, of which the company supports 25,000 VND (equivalent to the value of a regular meal), the remaining 50,000 VND/meal is supported by the Union.
Not only stopping at organizing a joint meal, the program is also an opportunity to show gratitude and share with union members in special circumstances. 12 gifts, each worth 800,000 VND, were given to union members who are children of families with preferential policies, war invalids, sick soldiers, martyrs, people with meritorious services to the revolution; and workers in difficulty and suffering from serious illnesses.
Union Meal is a symbolic annual activity, but the greatest value is not the amount of support but the affection, listening and understanding between the parties in the enterprise. This is also an opportunity for union members and workers to feel more clearly the attention from the Trade Union organization and business leaders, thereby becoming more attached to the workplace.
The program contributes to strengthening the spirit of solidarity in the labor collective, spreading the culture of sharing in enterprises, affirming the role of the Trade Union organization in caring for and protecting the rights, material and spiritual life of workers in the context of many fluctuations in production and business.
