For 3 days (October 1 - 3), the Provincial Labor Federation coordinated with Nghe An Guest House to organize the "Union Meal" program for 300 workers of Nghe An Urban Environment and Construction Joint Stock Company.
This is a meaningful spiritual gift, to encourage and support workers who are trying to overcome the severe consequences caused by storm No. 10.
The recent storm No. 10 has left a lot of damage to Vinh city. In just a short time, heavy rain and strong winds have caused many central streets to be submerged in water, trees to be uprooted, electric poles to break, and the traffic and lighting infrastructure system to be severely damaged.
Garbage, branches of trees are scattered, mud and dirt are spilled onto the streets, seriously affecting people's lives, activities and travel.
To promptly overcome the consequences, in the first two days after the storm, Nghe An Urban Environment and Construction Company mobilized more than 600 workers and dozens of specialized vehicles to work all night, collecting about 1,000 tons of waste per day, many times more than normal.
Sharing at the program, Mr. Kha Van Tam - Chairman of Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation said that this is a very practical activity, demonstrating the affection and responsibility of the trade union organization towards workers. At the same time, it encourages workers to strive to fulfill their tasks well, towards the political festival of the 20th Nghe An Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030.
