According to a report by the Labor Policy Department, Quang Ninh Provincial Department of Home Affairs, in 2026, businesses in the province are expected to recruit nearly 15,000 new workers, including both technical and general laborers.
Through review, the local and surrounding labor supply can basically meet the demand. However, in reality, there is still a "dismatch" between supply and demand, along with strong competition in attracting human resources between localities in the region.
According to the Quang Ninh Provincial Department of Home Affairs, at a thematic meeting to discuss solutions to support attracting and recruiting labor for businesses in the province, focusing on businesses in industrial parks recently, representatives of businesses and training institutions said that if there are no timely, flexible and attractive solutions, ensuring enough labor to serve production and business will face many challenges.
The field of vocational education is facing many difficulties. Colleges and universities are under great pressure for enrollment; some strategic industries such as logistics and sea transport have recruited a limited number due to the psychology of preferring universities and career orientation not close to market demand.
Schools propose that businesses participate more deeply in the process of developing training programs, organizing internships and communication about job opportunities to enhance the attractiveness of technical occupations.
Meanwhile, businesses expressed a great demand for technical labor that is well-trained and capable of working immediately after recruitment; at the same time, businesses also agreed with the "training ordering" solution and are ready to coordinate with schools in determining targets, skill standards and the time to receive labor. Businesses also requested management agencies to support supply-demand connections and provide labor market information regularly.
The Department of Home Affairs of Quang Ninh province requested agencies and units to synchronously and drastically implement solutions, such as: organizing mobile job transaction sessions; strengthening recruitment communication; promoting connections between businesses and training institutions and labor supply units; continuing to improve working conditions, improve salary and welfare policies to increase competitiveness in attracting and retaining workers...
For its part, the Department of Home Affairs will summarize the contributions of representatives of businesses, training institutions and related agencies, advise and report to the Provincial People's Committee to direct implementation in the coming time, ensuring human resources to serve production and business development, contributing to the successful implementation of the socio-economic growth target in 2026.
