On the morning of July 25, On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, at the Gaz Ma Soldiers Memorial Area (in Cam Lam Commune), the Khanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation held a commemorative incense offering ceremony.
Mr. Phan Thanh Liem - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation and all full-time union officials of the province attended the ceremony.

At the foot of the monument "Those who lie on the horizon", Khanh Hoa Trade Union officials respectfully offered flowers, incense and observed a minute of silence to commemorate the heroic martyrs of Gas Ma who sacrificed their lives in the cause of protecting the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
Next, the delegation offered incense at the wind tomb - where 64 heroes and martyrs of the Vietnam Navy who heroically sacrificed their lives in the battle to protect sovereignty in 1988 were honored.

The delegation visited the Truong Sa Museum, listened to and learned about the history of sea and island sovereignty, the matter of the Gaz Ma event in 1988 and the process of building the Truong Sa special zone. Each Khanh Hoa Trade Union official is even more moved and proud.
In particular, the special occasion for the preservation of the garden of the Ma Soldiers Memorial - a project formed from the millions of hearts of union officials inside and outside the province, along with the people of the whole country - is a testament to the deep gratitude for the generation of our ancestors who sacrificed for peace today.

According to the Management Board of the Gac Ma Soldiers Memorial Area, these days the memorial area welcomes many groups of relatives, comrades, agencies and units to organize flower offerings and incense offerings to commemorate the heroic martyrs.
