Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Tran Quoc Nam requested the Department of Health to preside over and coordinate with relevant departments and branches to organize training on social pension allowances for civil servants working in social protection, and coordinate with the Department of Finance to advise on funding allocation for policy implementation.
The Department of Health is also assigned to inspect, urge, receive and handle difficulties and problems arising during the implementation process; in case of exceeding its authority, it will report to the Provincial People's Committee and the Ministry of Health for timely guidance.
The People's Committees of communes, wards and special zones are responsible for disseminating and widely disseminating policies to the people; reviewing subjects eligible for social pension benefits to prepare documents, ensuring payment to the right subjects, the right subsidy level, and the correct process.
Localities are also required to encourage people to open bank accounts to pay subsidies without cash.
For elderly people who are receiving social allowances and are eligible, the Chairman of the People's Committees of communes and wards will consider and decide to switch to receiving social pension benefits.
The Department of Finance of Khanh Hoa province will coordinate with the Department of Health to advise on ensuring funding sources for policy implementation; guide the preparation of estimates, inspection of management, use and settlement of funds in accordance with regulations.
The implementation of social pension subsidy policies is expected to contribute to improving the lives of the elderly and ensuring social security in the province.
