The Can Tho City Labor Federation has just announced a program to support money to buy train, bus and plane tickets for union members and workers of the Can Tho City Trade Union system to return to their hometowns in the Central, Central Highlands and Northern provinces during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026.
Accordingly, the program will support 500 train tickets, bus tickets and air tickets, with a total budget of 500 million VND. The maximum support level is 1,000,000 VND/person for union members and workers returning to their hometowns in the Central and Central Highlands provinces.
For union members and workers returning to their hometowns in the Northern provinces, the maximum support level is 2,000,000 VND/person. In the case of using aircraft, the support level is also not more than 2,000,000 VND/person.
To be considered for support, union members and employees need to ensure 3 conditions: being union members and employees of units and enterprises with grassroots trade unions managed by the Can Tho City Labor Federation and having paid trade union fees before December 31, 2025; having citizen ID card information of hometown belonging to one of the Central, Central Highlands or Northern provinces; having train tickets, bus tickets or round-trip air tickets, showing the time to return home before and during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year holidays 2026.
Regarding forms and methods of support, union members and workers register to request support at the grassroots trade union where they are working and working; and at the same time provide complete information and documents proving that they meet the conditions according to regulations.
The grassroots trade union sends the dossier to the Policy and Law and Labor Relations Department of the Can Tho City Labor Federation before February 4th for summarization and submission to the Standing Committee for issuing a decision on financial support.
The Can Tho City Labor Federation receives and supports the units with the earliest submitted lists and does not consider or support when the initial estimated funds are exhausted.
