On January 29, the Standing Committee of the Can Tho City Labor Federation (LDF) organized visits and Tet greetings to union members, workers and the "Trade Union Year-End Meal" display contest at Jiazhi Co., Ltd. - Soc Trang Branch. This is one of a series of activities under the "Tet Reunion - Spring Gratitude to the Party" Program in 2026.
Attending the program were Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, City Party Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City, Chairman of the Can Tho City Labor Federation; along with Vice Chairmen of the Can Tho City Labor Federation, business leaders and representatives of directly affiliated grassroots trade unions.
Speaking at the gift-giving ceremony, Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai emphasized that the "Trade Union Year-End Meal" display contest and activities to care for and give gifts to union members and workers on the occasion of Binh Ngo Spring 2026 are activities with profound humanistic meaning. The program shows the concern of the Party, State, Trade Union organization and the whole society for workers and laborers - those who have silently made important contributions to the development of the city throughout the past year.
According to Ms. Mai, the contest is not only an opportunity to display warm and meaningful year-end meals but also a symbol of sharing and connection, so that each union member and worker, especially those in difficult circumstances, can feel the spirit of "No one is left behind for Tet", the Trade Union is always a common home, a reliable support. The activity also contributes to concretizing the plan of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in taking care of Tet for union members and workers with the motto of taking care of them earlier, deeper, wider and more effectively.
Through the "Tet Reunion - Spring Gratitude to the Party" Program, trade union levels in Can Tho City wish to spread the message of love, add faith, and create motivation for union members and workers to feel secure in working and long-term attachment to businesses, contributing to building Can Tho City to develop quickly and sustainably.
On this occasion, the Can Tho City Labor Federation presented 200 gifts to union members of 19 grassroots trade unions, each gift including a gift bag worth 300,000 VND and 500,000 VND in cash.
