On January 28, the Lam Dong Provincial Market Management Department (QLTT) said it is managing more than 25,300 organizations and individuals producing and trading goods in the area.
According to Mr. Bien Tan Tai, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Lam Dong province, although the area is large and the apparatus has just been consolidated after the merger, the Market Management Sub-Department still closely follows the direction of the Central Government, proactively building and implementing a plan to focus on inspecting and controlling the market during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026.

Peak periods of preventing and combating smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods are organized simultaneously before, during and after Tet to maintain market stability and protect consumer rights.
In January 2026, the Provincial Market Management Sub-Department inspected 106 cases, detected and handled 88 violations, with a total administrative fine of more than 684 million VND; the value of confiscated goods is over 309 million VND.
The whole province recorded 257 violations related to the market sector, fined 222 cases with a total amount of more than 1.687 billion VND.

In particular, functional forces have prosecuted 4 cases with 8 subjects for the act of storing and transporting prohibited goods and firecrackers.
In order to proactively ensure the supply of goods and maintain security and order during Tet, the Steering Committee 389 of Lam Dong province has deployed a peak period of preventing and combating smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods throughout the area.
According to Mr. Phan Van Tuyen, Acting Head of the Provincial Market Management Sub-Department, functional forces focus on inspecting "hot spots", key traffic routes, wholesale markets, warehouses, shopping centers and e-commerce platforms.

The focus is on essential consumer goods during Tet such as food, confectionery, alcohol, beer, tobacco, cosmetics, functional foods, fertilizers, agricultural materials...
Thereby, promptly detecting and preventing acts of speculation, hoarding goods, and unreasonable price increases; strictly handling counterfeit goods, poor quality goods and food safety violations.
Along with the Market Management force, Lam Dong Provincial Police handled 77 violations. In which, prosecuted 2 cases with 5 subjects related to the act of storing and transporting prohibited goods.
The Provincial Border Guard strengthens patrols, controls, and closely monitors, promptly detecting cases of illegal transportation of goods.
At the grassroots level, localities proactively organize inspections before, during and after Tet.
To date, 67/124 communes, wards, and special zones have developed plans, established 51 inspection teams, inspected 342 food production and business establishments and handled 2 violating establishments.
The inspection work focuses on small-scale, seasonal establishments, traditional markets and tourist service points.
