Cao Bang honors good workers during Workers' Month

Cao Bang - Not only skilled, many workers are also creative nuclei with thousands of initiatives effectively applied to production practice.

On May 20, the Cao Bang Provincial Labor Federation organized the "Meeting to commend skilled craftsmen and technicians" program in 2026 on the occasion of the 140th anniversary of International Labor Day (May 1, 1886 - May 1, 2026) and in response to Workers' Month, Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health in 2026.

Attending were Mr. Phan Van Anh, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Mr. Vu Hong Quang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Mr. Be Dang Khoa, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Cao Bang Provincial Labor Federation and representatives of departments, agencies, branches, and grassroots trade unions.

Currently, Cao Bang province has over 38,000 workers, civil servants, and laborers, with the rate of trained labor reaching about 65%. Among them, there are 552 craftsmen, technical workers, and 237 workers with equivalent qualifications from July 3rd or higher.

In recent years, the movement "Good Labor, Creative Labor" associated with studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style has been widely implemented by provincial trade union levels, no longer a emulation slogan but has gone into life, attracting a large number of union members and workers to participate.

386 collectives and 1,562 typical individuals were commended and rewarded by trade union levels.

In the period from 2020 to now, there have been over 6,000 scientific topics, initiatives, and technical improvements applied in practice, contributing to cost savings, improving labor productivity, improving working conditions and ensuring labor safety, and being awarded 16 Creative Labor Certificates by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

At the conference, Mr. Phan Van Anh, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, praised and acknowledged, and congratulated skilled craftsmen and technicians in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style.

At the same time, it is proposed that trade union levels in Cao Bang province continue to promote patriotic emulation movements associated with studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style; pay attention to discovering, fostering and replicating advanced examples and creative labor examples.

Pay attention to training and improving skills, professional skills and digital skills for workers to meet the requirements of digital transformation and the 4.0 industrial revolution.

On this occasion, the Cao Bang Provincial Labor Federation commended 36 individuals who are union members, workers, laborers, and typical artisans of businesses and units in the province who are highly skilled, have many initiatives, and actively work and produce, contributing to improving productivity, quality, and work efficiency.

Through the program, the Cao Bang Provincial Labor Federation continues to affirm its role in accompanying union members and workers; promptly encouraging and recognizing the contributions of workers, artisans, and skilled workers in socio-economic development.
