On the afternoon of November 29, the Trade Union of Mac Phung Nguyen Garment Company Limited held its 3rd Congress, term 2025-2030. The Congress took place in a serious and democratic atmosphere, reflecting the spirit of "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development".
In the past term, despite many difficulties from market fluctuations, increased raw material prices and fierce competition for orders, the company still maintained more than 300 employees, mostly female, aged from 2540, with an average income of 78 million VND/person/month. The Board of Directors and the Trade Union closely coordinate, organize periodic dialogues, improve working conditions, ensure safe and stable jobs and improve the lives of workers.
The grassroots union has implemented many practical care activities: visiting 430 union members with a total amount of nearly 600 million VND; building and repairing 1 house for union members; giving gifts for holidays and Tet worth 13 million VND; raising the shift meal from 20,000 VND to 23,000 VND/meal.
The emulation movements "Good workers - Creative workers", "Building businesses to meet cultural standards", "Green - clean - beautiful, occupational safety and hygiene" were widely implemented, rewarding 610 union members and workers with a total amount of over 170 million VND.
The Congress approved the summary report for the past term and the direction for the 2025-2030 term, setting specific targets: striving for 100% of qualified workers to be admitted to the Trade Union, 100% of union members to be propagandized and learn about the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws; 100% of workers to sign labor contracts, participate in social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance in full; 100% of union members to be cared for and visited when sick.
Speaking at the Congress, Ms. Huynh Thi Tuyet Vui - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, President of the Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation - acknowledged and commended the spirit of solidarity, responsibility and efforts to overcome difficulties of the Executive Committee and union members throughout the past term.
During the 2025-2030 term, the Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor suggested that the Trade Union continue to promote its role as a trusted representative of workers; innovate the content and methods of operation; accompany the Board of Directors to improve production and business efficiency and protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members.
The union needs to strengthen propaganda and mobilize union members to comply with regulations, focusing on occupational safety and hygiene. For the new Executive Committee, it is required to promote the movement "Good workers - Creative workers", promote the spirit of dynamism, creativity, solidarity; expand cultural and sports activities.
The Congress elected 7 members to the Executive Committee of the Trade Union for the 2025-2030 term, Ms. Tran Thi Loan was elected to hold the position of Chairwoman of the Trade Union.
The Congress called on all union members and workers to promote the spirit of solidarity, creativity, and join hands with the company and the trade union to successfully complete the 2025-2030 term goals, contributing to building a company with sustainable development, stable jobs and an increasingly improved life for workers.
