On January 30, the Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) of Quang Tri province said that it has planned and implemented care for union members and workers during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026. The overarching goal is to support the material and spiritual life of union members and workers, especially those in difficult circumstances, who have had labor accidents, suffer from serious illnesses, lost their jobs, reduced income or do not have the conditions to return home for Tet.
According to the plan, Tet care activities will be organized at a peak from January 28 to February 12, 2026, with the strongest focus from the beginning of February. The overarching theme is "Tet Sum vay - Spring of Gratitude to the Party", with the motto "All union members and workers have Tet, celebrate Tet".
One of the key contents is to organize visits, gifts, and Tet greetings to union members and workers at enterprises, industrial parks, economic zones and residential areas. The Provincial Labor Federation coordinates to organize working delegations of Party and State leaders, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, and provincial leaders to directly visit and encourage workers during Tet.
There will be thousands of Tet gifts for union members and workers in difficult circumstances. Among them, gifts from Party and State leaders worth 2 million VND in cash and 1 gift bag; gifts from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor worth 1 million VND in cash and 1 gift bag; gifts from the National Assembly's Law and Justice Committee worth 1 million VND in cash and 1 gift bag; the Provincial Labor Federation alone supports 700,000 VND in cash for each gift.

In addition, grassroots trade union levels proactively mobilize socialized resources, coordinate with employers to organize "Trade Union Year-end Meals" with a spending level of 70,000 VND/meal, creating a solidarity and bond between businesses and workers. Many units also develop plans to support train and bus tickets for union members from afar to return to their hometowns for Tet or stay to work during Tet.
In parallel with direct support activities, the Quang Tri Provincial Labor Federation directs trade union levels to strengthen dialogue and negotiation with employers on salaries, bonuses, Tet holidays, overtime and other welfare regimes for workers. Trade union levels participate in supervising the payment of Tet salaries and bonuses, promptly grasping and resolving arising labor disputes, contributing to ensuring security and order, and stabilizing production during and after Tet.
Propaganda work has also been promoted, focusing on mobilizing union members to celebrate Tet safely, economically, comply with the law, return to work on time, and prevent labor shortages after Tet.
