According to Vietnam Social Security, 21 provinces and cities pay pensions and social insurance allowances through personal accounts on the first working day of the month; 13 provinces and cities pay on the second working day of the month.

Provinces and cities paying via account on the first working day of the month - August 3rd (Monday): Son La, Dien Bien, Lang Son, Nghe An, Quang Ninh, Cao Bang, Bac Ninh, Hung Yen, Ninh Binh, Phu Tho, Tuyen Quang, Hue, Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong, Dak Lak, Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, Vinh Long, Ca Mau, Gia Lai, An Giang.
Provinces and cities paying via account on the 2nd working day of the month - August 4th (Tuesday): Hanoi, Lai Chau, Thanh Hoa, Thai Nguyen, Hai Phong, Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, Lao Cai, Quang Ngai, Da Nang, Dong Nai, Tay Ninh, Dong Thap.
Recently, to ensure that the payment of monthly pensions and social insurance allowances is not interrupted; promptly support beneficiaries to complete procedures according to the provisions of the Law on Social Insurance, the Hanoi People's Committee has issued a plan on organizing a peak inter-sectoral campaign to ensure that the payment of pensions and social insurance allowances is not interrupted for beneficiaries in the City.
According to the Plan, the peak support period will take 15 days, from July 10 to the end of July 25, 2026.
Support work is implemented uniformly throughout Hanoi City at Branches of Public Administration Service Centers, Public Administration Service Points, City Social Insurance, Grassroots Social Insurance, People's Committees of communes and wards and mobile support locations, support at residence according to the actual needs of beneficiaries.
According to the Plan, support work is carried out according to a 6-step interconnected process, with clear division between agencies: City Social Insurance establishes a list of beneficiaries to be reviewed; People's Committees of communes and wards verify and classify according to seven unified forms; City Public Administration Service Center and Branches and Shock Public Administration Teams directly organize support at residence or at centralized support points; then the dossier is handed over for City Social Insurance to update and organize payment.
According to Hanoi City, the entire process must ensure the right beneficiaries, in accordance with legal regulations, and complete and accurate information of beneficiaries.
Participating officials need to master the professional process in each step to guide people fully and clearly from the first contact.
For cases where they no longer reside in the locality or their status cannot be verified, the City Social Insurance shall preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies to handle them separately according to regulations.
For cases where beneficiaries lose civil act capacity or are limited or have difficulties in awareness and controlling their actions, the People's Committees of communes and wards guide the person directly caring for and nurturing to prepare a Petition according to Form No. 07 attached.
For cases where beneficiaries are people with meritorious services, elderly people, people with disabilities, vulnerable people, people with weak health, people with difficulty traveling, or cases within the scope of support of the Shock Public Administration Team according to Plan No. 63/KH-UBND of the Hanoi City People's Committee, support is provided at home or centralized support points according to the actual needs of beneficiaries.
